About the Artist

Mayra Vega (b. 1988, Oaxaca) is a Mexican painter working at the intersection of land, memory, and the body. Trained at UNAM and the Taller Rufino Tamayo, her practice spans oil painting, encaustic, and mixed media. Her work has been exhibited in Mexico City, Los Angeles, and New York.
